Day 1 Arrival-Yangon

International Arrival at Yangon airport & transfer to your hotel for check-in and refreshment. Then in the afternoon, visit animated downtown area to study the hustle & bustle of Yangon and colonial buildings. Then to Shwedagon Pagoda, “masterpiece of Yangon” and one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa and the city skyline from this vantage point. Overnight in Yangon

Day 2 Yangon- Bago- Kyaikhtiyo

In the morning, drive to Kyaikhtiyo (194 km, ~ 5 hr). You will arrive at Kimpun base camp and be driven-up by open truck (11km, ~ 1⁄2 hr) to the intermediate point, Yathe Taung Bus Terminal. From there, you will walk up to the mountain summit (4 km, ~ 45 min) and visit Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock), a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff, which is perched on a rock 1100 meters above sea level. Throughout the way is alive, by crowds of pilgrims, porters with material baskets and four- porters with sedan chair for taking people and indigenous medicine shops. Visit Golden Rock pagoda & surrounding mountains nearby and admire magnificent sunset or dawn. Overnight in Golden Rock

Day 3 Kyaikhtiyo- Bago- Yangon

In the morning, trek down (~45 min) to Yathe Taung camp, and then, you will climb down to Kimpun Base Camp by open truck (1⁄2 hr) and drive back to Yangon. Along the way, you will visit Bago, an ancient capital of the Mon Kingdom. Highlights includes: the Shwethalyaung (the most beautiful Reclining Buddha in Myanmar), the Bago Market, Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Kyaik Pun four giant Buddhas statue Hintha Gone Pagoda (for panoramic view) and pottery making village. Visit also the world cemetery in Htauk-kyant, one of the memorial cemeteries of the allied forces who were passed away during the Second World War. Arrive to Yangon in the late afternoon and check in hotel. Overnight at Yangon.

Day 4 Yangon- Mandalay – Ava- Amarapura - Mandalay

Transfer to airport and take flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, visit Maharmuni Buddha Image and gold-leaf workshop, sculptures & wood-carving and puppets workshop. Then, visit Maha Gandayon monastery in order to learn monastic life of the Buddhist monks. In the afternoon, transfer to Ava Jetty and take a ferry to across the Myit-Nge River for a visit to the former royal capital of Ava. Visit by horse cart, passing through paddy and vegetation fields, to Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the palace building nicknamed “leaning tower of Ava”, Bargayar monastery, famous for its impression ornate woodcarvings and teak posts in typical Burmese form and Maha Aungmye known as Mai-Nu Oat Kyaung beautiful monastery built of brick and stucco. Then, back to Amarapura to enjoy a stroll along U Pein Bridge, 200 year-old teak bridge and the fabulous views of the surrounding farms and streams. Return back to Mandalay Overnight in Mandalay

Day 5 Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay

After breakfast, an excursion by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River will take you to Mingun about 11km up river from Mandalay (45min approximately). Visit one of the world largest bell, weighing 90 tons Mingun Bell, Hsinbyume Paya and the uncompleted Mingun Paya, built as one of the largest zedis by King Bodawpaya. Return by boat to Mandalay. At the afternoon, visits with the Shwenandaw monastery (or Golden Palace monastery) a superb example of a tradition work, and Kuthodaw Pagoda, the world’s largest book, consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Proceed to Mandalay Hill for sunset viewing. Overnight in Mandalay

Day 06 – Mandalay – Monywa

In the morning, you will proceed to Monywa (~140 km, ± 3 hour drive). On the way, enjoy a magnificent view from Pagoda Soon U Ponnya Shin at Sagaing Hill over the surrounding area. And visit the Mohnyin Than Buddha temple where over 500,000 Buddha images are seated and you will also visit the largest Reclining Buddha image. In the afternoon, visit to Mt Po Win and Mt Shwe Ba, where many Buddha statues and stair cases have been carved into the rocky mountainside. One night at a hotel in Monywa.

Day 7 – Monywa – Pakkoku - Bagan

Breakfast at hotel and drive to Pakkoku (140 km/~3hr) and on the way stop to visit at typical Myanmar village to study the ways of village life. After that, take the private boat which will take you to Bagan along the Ayeyarwaddy River(~ 2 hr). You will arrive to Bagan in the afternoon where an awaiting car will take you to your hotel. Bagan “the mystic” extraordinary archeological site which do not have anything to envy that of Angkor with its 3000 temples and pilot pink brick stupas of the apogee of the Buddhist architecture of Myanmar. Enjoy a beautiful sunset at a temple of Pagan. Overnight at Pagan

Day 08 – Bagan

After breakfast, visit the colorful market of Nyaung Oo to see how the Myanmar local people start their day. Starting a sightseeing tour with a diverse selection of the highlight religious edifices of Bagan such as “Shwezigone Pagoda” the prototype of Burmese stupa, “Ananda Temple” the most beautiful and classical fine-arts of 11th century, “Gubyaukgyi Temple” with magnificent mural paintings of 12th century, and Htilominlo Temple - the largest temples of Bagan After lunch break, return to your hotel for a short rest in order to escape the extreme heat of the midday sun. In the afternoon, visit to Ananda Temple, with its four huge standing-Buddha images and numerous seated figures that are arranged around the interior gallery and Gu Byauk Gyi Temple ( under the protection of UNESCO), noted for its ancient mural paintings. Visit the impressive lacquer ware workshop and Myinkabar village for “Manuhar” and “Nanphaya” temples. Then enjoy a beautiful sunset from “Shwesandaw” pagoda that gives you magnificent and unforgettable scenery. Overnight in Bagan

Day 9- Bagan- Mount Popa – Bagan

After Breakfast, drive to a famous place, for a day – return excursion to Mount POPA, an extinct volcano with spectacular views volcano. On the way to Mount Poppa, you can have a look the production of Palm Sugar (jaggery) from the Toddy Palm Trees and taste the toddy wine as well, along with the way of life of the villagers. The shrines of Mount Poppa are dedicated to animist spirits knows as “Nats” (Spirit gods). You will have time to climb nearly 800 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak and you can also see the taming monkeys all along the way of staircase. Mount Popa is also famous for its panoramic view of the tropical region. Then, go back to Bagan. In the afternoon, visit West Phwar-Saw village to see the daily life of villagers, continue the visit to the colossal temple “Dhammayangyi” and “Sulamani”by horse cart passing through jungle of temples. Then enjoy a beautiful sunset in different view from “Pyathadargyi” pagoda that gives also unforgettable scenery. Overnight in Bagan

Day 10 Bagan- Heho- Pindaya - Kalaw

After breakfast, leave for airport and fly to Heho. Continue to Pindaya by car about 2 & half hours, an interesting long way up into the hills and across the Shan Plateau, passing through picturesque view of the page-work fields. Visit Pindaya cave, natural cave which is home to over eight thousands of Buddha images made out of wood, alabaster, marble, cement. In the afternoon, observe traditional Shan paper and umbrella production. In the afternoon, drive for 1 and half hour drive to Kalaw, the city of pine trees with its colonial houses. Overnight at Kalaw

Day11 Kalaw - Inle Lake

Visit the local Market and the train station. After that start 3 hours trekking to 'Pane-Ne-Pin' Palaung village, passing through tealeaf, sebastian leaf (leaves that are used to produce Burmese Cigar, known as 'Cheroot') and orange plantation. Time to observe the process of making tealeaf and sebastian leaf. Have a rest, snack and green tea at village monastery. We can see the distant overview of Kalaw and zigzag way leading to flat terrain toward Mandalay. Return to Kalaw to complete this day return trip. Afternoon, drive to Nyaung Shwe (1 hour) which is gate way city of Inle Lake, famous for its nature and traditional leg-rowers and its traditional ways of fishing with a bow net while rowing with a leg. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 12 Inle Lake

Starts your day with five-day market, held once in a village every five days, that gives you very colorful image with different tribes wearing traditional costume and you can also observe traditional stuff in the market. Then, continue the visit to Indein village for promenade along Indein Pagoda complex, standing over one thousand stupa on the hill side by passing Indein canal with scenic beauty. In the afternoon, explore the exquisite sights of Inle Lake by boat, visiting floating villages scattered along the lake and floating firms, traditional fishing, traditional art and crafts. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the most scared shrines in Myanmar, dating back to the 18th century and Ngephechaung monastery with its collection of Buddha Images. Also visit to observe famous lotus-weaving in Inn Paw Khone village and other art & crafts workshops such as cigars, silversmith, ironsmith etc... in Nampam village. Overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 13 Inle – Kakku - Inle

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Taunggyi- the capital of Shan State, 1500 meters above sea level. Proceed to Kakku village and on the way enjoy the natural heritage. Arrive to Kakku pagodas with the magnificent collection of centuries old Buddhist stupas. Back to Inle Lake and overnight.

Day 14 Inle - Yangon

Transfer to Heho airport for flight back to Yangon. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and then visit Bogyoke Aung Sun market for your last souvenir shopping. In the evening visit Botahtaung Pagoda near Yangon River bank to enjoy sunset. Overnight in Yangon

Day 15 Yangon- Departure

After breakfast, Leisure times until the transfer to the airport for international departure
